The Need for Validation

We all fall prey to it Especially when we are working on something creative.

Sometimes we feel like we are on top of the world and can conquer anything. Other times we are convinced our work is total crap and perhaps we should just go eat some worms.----more---- The important thing is to not let the self-doubt keep you from doing things you enjoy. We can’t always get the validation we need at the times we need it. And even if someone told us we are wonderful, we might not believe them anyway. As my son says, I have to love him and think he’s wonderful. He’s my son. I don’t think we can eliminate self-doubt or that it would benefit us if we could. We can, however, remind ourselves that it doesn’t really matter if we are great or not. As long as we enjoy the journey.
