05/20/13 DDD The Character of Jesus Part 8--Gentleness

Isaiah 40:11 says:  11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young. What a beautiful image of gentleness and thoughtfulness! In David's Daily devotional today, we learn that gentleness is one of the great characteristics of Jesus. Therefore, it is a characteristic that we should have as well. We should be naturally gentle and forgiving...not harsh...especially with our words.
