Episode # 670 - Flag, Army, And Father’s Day

Father Anthony along with Christina, Gerri, and Tony here today on this Friday and as always, TGIF.  Also Flag Day is today and joined by special guest Judy, producer Nick's mom Judy is in today and Father's Day coming up this weekend.  Start off today, everyone is in very good spirits today, and a history of Flag Day is discussed first, and debate on if Betsey Ross, the maker of our flag, had anything to do with it and also the talk of Army Day today as well.  Talk of what the stars and stripes stand for on the flag are discussed too, speculation, and a history of America, starting with the 13 colonies is talked about along the lines of the flag, as well as the Pledge of Allegiance.   Producer Nick's mom is on air as well and talks about teaching and schools.  After the first break, in honor of Flag Day today, the song You're a Grand Old Flag is played on the show for all to listen.  Serious subjects are shared today as well, such as talking about Pope John Paul the 2nd and what he talked about in the past thinking that he was a kind of prophet in terms of things, including suffering and those who have suffered, and how the United States has changed a lot.  After the second break, more on the structure of sin is discussed, as well as the idea of silence and the Ten Commandments are shared along these lines, and how things have changed in America, such as kids swearing a lot and the ramifications of behavior affecting everyone around us.  Before the show is over, since Father's Day is this weekend, the topic of the absence of Father's is talked about quickly.
