McKinney is a former Georgia state legislator, US Congresswoman, and 2008 Green Party presidential candidate. She's also an internationally renown advocate for voting, civil and human rights, as well as other social justice issues. In summer 2011, she spent weeks in Tripoli. She was there during Washington's war on Gaddafi. She saw imperial America's viciousness firsthand. Mass death and destruction define it.
