On this Monday, Father Anthony is a little under the weather today, due to maybe the changes of season, but everyone is back this week. Monday misery seems to be creeping around today (interesting since it's Monday). Christina had a busy weekend with a 50th Anniversary for some people associated with the Church, Nick and Nidia. Personal history with these people is shared with everyone today and how special and important they are, as well as what they have done for and with people. Beautiful creatures/animals are talked about that are pets from a loyal listener at the start of the show and these remind everyone that the Blessing of the Animals is coming up, October 5th, which results in a cute and fun discussion on everyone's pets. Unfortunately, the recent suicide bombings in Pakistan are shared and more violence from terrorist groups, one inside a mall in Nairobi and offer our prayers to all those going through this recent tragedy, as well as referencing later in the show that Chicago is now very high in violence and murder rates. After the first break, Father Anthony and everyone go into discussing the recent Gospel Readings given and read, which in turn, leads to Father Anthony sharing his views on languages and his trip to Italy too, relating to Masses of different languages and cultures. Pope Francis is once again brought up since his interview last week and articles that talked about this interview from what was said on particular topics in the media recently, such as gay marriage and abortion. Father Anthony continues this by talking about historical references with Jesus Christ.
