Episode # 742 - Confession And Confessionals

Father Anthony is back today and open remarks are on the thunderstorm yesterday/last night the Chicago area had.  All is going good for everyone today and taking it easy seems to be the feeling for everyone today.  Father Anthony reminds us that the Blessing of the Animals is coming up and the talk of animals, particularly dogs is brought up.  Chicago is number one in the area of ethnicity and ethnic groups and communities, resulting in many types of cultural newspapers and Chicago sadly has taken the lead in homicide from a report from the FBI recently, a very scary thought leading to a very serious discussion on violence, guns, and crime in the city, with about 500.  More on Pope Francis and his recent words from an interview along the lines of Mercy and through Mercy he explains, as ready by Father Anthony.  An internal battle is going on as Father Anthony points out after this discussion, dealing with confessions and confessionals from what Pope Francis stated about them.  The discussion continues after the second break on the beauty of Confession and Christina explains how it's a good thing and let's us get forgiveness and the God continues to keep forgiving us. Final thoughts on the show, Father Anthony expresses his gratitude for our loyal listeners tuning in, but also the children of St. Stans School expressing their gratitude as well.
