Episode # 743 - Wounded And Healed

Everyone is in today, except Gerri and everyone misses her coffee today.  Father Anthony visited a hospital this morning to visit people there, but still feeling a bit sick due to a fall cold.  But today's opening subject has to do with that is The Feast of  The Martyrs Saints Cosmas and Damian and the history of these two is talked about.  Father Anthony talks about some of the people that he visited and has visited and how extraordinary they are and have been.  This relates to the suffering and pain we all go through and that has been mentioned in the media, such as Chicago having very high crime and violence rates and the current crisis's and situations in the world, but to have the compassion to make sure we get through things and that things will get better and to try to think of others and we are all in this together being brothers and sisters in the Church.  Father Anthony get's his coffee boost after/during the first break and helps and brings up the Blessing of The Animals coming up soon, since we have a promo for that now too.  The discussion continues along the lines of what was talked about in the beginning of the show, that we get wounded by the stress, but have the hope, realization, and convinced that we will be healed even though we all get stressed out and angry at times, but remember that God is passionate and helpful to us when we beaten down and to let us be healed and alright and God doesn't give up on us.
