Insight on Business the News Hour with Michael Libbie is heard live Monday - Friday from 5PM to 6PM on 1350-KRNT, Des Moines, Iowa.  Each day we bring the the Metro the business news of the day along with stock reports, an agricultural report and interviews with business and community leaders. Our published podcasts contain the interviews.

On the News Hour broadcast today we had the Superintendent of the Des Moines Public Schools, Tom Ahart in to talk about reading and match scores, the graduation rate, No Child Left Behind, the barriers teachers often have and many more topics.  Tom Ahart in Studio.

We next visited with Carl Voss and Tim Lane of the Des Moines Bicycle Collective about an event going on this weekend called Open Streets and why you should be interested.

We wrapped up the interviews with a conversation with our friend Paul Yeager who you may know from Iowa Public Television but he is also the play-by-play voice of the Dowling Catholic Schools and games you can watch on the web.
