Money matters according to Jesus

There are some 2300 references to money and possessions , to stewardship, in the Bible. Beryl Jantzi, Stewardship Educator for Everence (the stewardship arm of Mennonite Church USA) let us know that there are 3 separate tithes referenced in Scripture. One of these is almsgiving - giving to help the poor and needy. In Matthew 6:1-4, 19-21, 24-25, and again in Acts 10:4, almsgiving is rewarded by God. Beryl encouraged us to store up treasure in heaven by investing in the lives of others. Do we use what we have to bless others?
