Christmas 2013 - Jessie

A King is Born… In a Stable!
The countdown is on for Christmas 2013. Darby the Elf is busy at our house, finding ways to create mischief, but to also keep the focus on the true meaning of Christmas. Because I live with an adorable almost 2 year old I spend a lot of my day saying “Those gifts have to wait till Christmas to be opened.” Then, we walk over to the calendar and count how many more days till Christmas. Every night before going to bed we sit down on the floor and play with her Nativity set. As she is moving the figures around I tell her the story of Jesus’ birth. So, even this year, this strange year when her daddy, my husband is not with us, we are working to enjoy Christmas.
