The almost invisible sign

Pastor Phil Kniss highlighted three points in history where people looked to God for a sign of salvation. In Isaiah 7:10-16 the kingdom of Judah looked for a sign as the northern kingdom of Israel allied with a neighbor and was about to invade Judah. In a later century, as Israel suffered under Roman oppression, the Jews looked for a sign of salvation and hope from God. And today we look for hope and a reprieve from suffering and pain. In all three examples, Pastor Phil suggested that God gives the same answer. God will be with us. God IS with us. In all circumstances, God has joined us, and is at work to redeem and to save.
