Father Anthony wishes everyone well at the start of the show and hopes that everyone is ok today due to the extreme cold outside and warm too, with good news on the way with it warming up throughout the week, but only in the 20’s to 30’s in degrees. Since he was on his retreat in Italy, Father Anthony and everyone talk about traveling and flying toward your destination, with Christina, Gerri, and Tony sharing traveling memories. Father Anthony also shares with not only his co hosts, but with all our listeners more about his retreat to Italy, in particular encounters with an eagle, leading to talk about eagles in general. After the first break, Father Anthony continues on the notion of the Gospel readings about selling/giving things up and being able to let things go. Father Anthony also expands on his last topic/thought from yesterday on that God is all powerful, but he cannot not love us. More on the retreat as well, especially when Father Anthony walked all around during his “Roaming Rome,” and thinking about what he saw and felt. This discussion once again brings up the film, The Hobbit in terms of being needed, wanted, and sought after, relating to discipleship, as well as the destination in the story, The Lonely Mountain, with God not being able to rest, until we rest with Him.
