• Introduction: Apprentices become tradesmen who train apprentices
• 6:2b - Teach and urge these things
• Knowledge and teaching
• 6:3-4 - If anyone teaches differently he is puffed up with conceit
• Ungodly gain or godly contentment
• 6:5 - Godliness a means to gain?
• 6:9-10 - Love of money is the root of all evil
• 6:6-8 - Godliness with contentment IS gain
• Perseverance
• 6:11-14a - Persevere in seeking the fruits of godliness
• 6:14b - 16 - For Christ's glory until He returns
• Generosity with wealth
• 6:17-19 - encourage those who are rich to be generous, placing their hope in Christ, not their wealth
• Stay true
• 6:20 - guard the deposit, don't be drawn into controversy
• 6:21 - Grace (God's free gift) be with you
