Thy Kingdom Come

Jesus spent 40 days after his resurrection teaching his apostles on one subject - the Kingdom of God. Why was understanding the kingdom so important? What did he mean when he prayed, "thy kingdom come?" Is the kingdom already here? Has it already come? When is it coming? What will it be like? Where will it be? Does Israel have a part in the coming kingdom? What about the promises made to Abraham? What about the Davidic covenant?
