Ephesians 2:11-12

God made a covenant with Israel, that they should be His special people and through them all the world would be blessed. Israel broke their covenant with God, turning from Him to serve other gods and breaking his commands. Rather than being a blessing to the world they began to look down upon the other nations of the world. Ezekiel tells us that God’s name was profaned among the nations because of Israel’s rebellion. Today God has chosen the Church to bless the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
