Why praise matters to God

Why do some Christians gush about God while others are hesitant and silent? This was a question Pastor Phil Kniss invited us to consider at the beginning of his sermon. It may b e that one reason for this is differing views of what it means to praise and worship God. All of creation was made to glorify God, so our praise and worship is simply fulfilling the purpose for which we were made. To bring glory to God is to cultivate in others a good opinion of God. Can we live and speak in such a way that others will have a good opinion of God? When we do that, we give glory to God!
