Jeremiah 38:1-13 Suffering Is Not Strange. Though often ridiculed, slandered and ostracized, Jeremiah was a faithful prophet. His enemies threw him into a cistern and left him for dead, but God provided his rescue.

I Peter 4:12-19 (sermon verses)  Suffering Is Not Strange. Is your life a battleground or playground? We might long for earthly convenience. But when you resist the world's priorities, you might suffer because of Christ. But in this, you are blessed.

Mark 8:27-35 Suffering Is Not Strange. The words are always 100% opposite of what the world pursues, and 100% opposite of what we naturally expect. And yet, we cling to them in faith, especially while suffering. Deny yourself! Pick up your cross! Follow Jesus!
