Out of the deep distress of his soul, David wrote Psalm 13, expressing the anguish that he was feeling over God's delay in coming to help him.  You can almost feel the impatience and desperation in David’s cries to the Lord, as four times he pleads, “How long, O Lord?”

David’s prayer provides help for us to deal with God’s delays in our own lives.
