purpose - the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

Examples: "the purpose of the meeting is to appoint a trustee"  deciding they will start saving 10% of their income.

principle - a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning.

Examples: Don't complain, be proactive. Character Is More Important Than Reputation

Value - a person's principles or standards of behavior; one's judgment of what is important in life.

Examples: integrity , honesty, courage, hard-work
