US Mid-session Report 13 Dec 17: US sharemarkets hit fresh record highs on Tuesday

Strong stocks gained ahead of the US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision. The Fed is widely expected to lift interest rates at the end of its meeting on Wednesday (US time). Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Bank of America shares rose by 1%-3%.
