Psalm 31  About Psalm 31…The Church sings Psalm 31 in services that feature bearing the cross, whether that is Jesus in the last hours of his life, or Christians taking up their crosses and following him.  This psalm is a powerful expression of trust in the Lord, even during times of severe pressure and suffering.
 
Romans 8:18-25 First the Cross, Then the Crown! Our present sufferings might be many. But their weight is not worth comparing to the massive glory that will be revealed in us, in the Lord's time!

Matthew 16:21-26 (sermon verses) First the Cross, Then the Crown! You can't worship both Jesus and yourself. Deny self! Pick up your cross! Follow Jesus!
