The case may be officially closed, but gosh darn those ghosts are back. Sheriff Boots drives Ruby Jane and Veenie out to the mansion to check on more ghost sightings. Seeing lights and suspicious activity at the old mansion, the Sheriff moves in. He forbids  RJ and Veenie to follow him into danger inside the dark haunted mansion.
