Mid-Session 24 Apr 19: ASX 200 advances, spurred on by benign inflation data

Local shares pushed ahead to a 12 year high on Wednesday morning helped by a lower than expected inflation reading. The absence of inflationary pressures means the RBA has scope to cut interest rates in the event employment growth moderates.
