Episode 12: The EuroSCORE and beyond

In this episode we are joined by Consultant Cardiac Surgeon and EuroSCORE creator Mr Samer Nashef from Royal Papworth Hospital.  We talk about the EuroSCORE and navigate through its past, present and potential future iterations.   We also discuss the current Quality of life after cardiac surgery trial (QUACS) and how the measurement of outcomes as well as the metrics we use continue to evolve to better understand patient benefit from surgical intervention.
