The Death of Death in the Death of Jesus #1- A Word on Forgiveness of Debts

Death is an enemy we fear. Therefore, rushing toward it is irrational and sick. Death is our enemy. Only one death has been truly good news to us, and that is the death which Jesus marched toward nearly 2000 years ago at the place called the Skull outside Jerusalem.

All semester we will unpack the straightforward four words of the gospel, "There they crucified him." We will look at the words and actions as they happened chronologically at the death of Jesus all the way to his crucifixion. All are welcome no matter if you are convinced, unconvinced, or unsure about the claims of Jesus and the bible.

This week, we look at how the first thing Jesus' death provided was forgiveness for the enemies he prayed for who were crucifying him.
