From the onset of Jonah's story, we see the prophet and every human character faced with making choices. The choice to obey or disobey, the choice to be present or to be distant, the choice to confront or confess, and the choice to worship God. These are all real decisions Jonah and the sailors had to make in this first chapter of the book of Jonah.
