Market Close 4 Oct 21: Banks lead market 1.3% higher

While the Aussie market has tumbled for four straight weeks and slumped last Friday, the ASX 200 rose by 1.3% on Monday thanks to solid gains from the big banks. Volume was a little light due to a number of state holidays.
