Dr. Farmer hosts workshops on animal spirit guides, shamanism, ancestral healing, and Earth-centered spirituality. Dr. Farmer has a B.A. in psychology from University of California, M.A. in counseling psychology from Chapman University, and a Ph.D. from Madison University. Dr. Thomas Brophy holds a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from The Colorado College, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Dr. Brophy’s academic and scientific backgrounds include work on NASA’s Voyager and Cassini spacecraft projects and an appointment as a National Science Foundation Exchange Scientist at the University of Tokyo. Dr. Brophy was appointed President of CIHS, July 1, 2019.
Dr. Brophy is the author of several books, including The Mechanism Demands a Mysticism and The Origin Map, and he is co-author of Black Genesis: The Prehistoric Origins of Ancient Egypt, and Imhotep the African: Architect of the Cosmos. He has also published peer-reviewed articles in premier scientific journals including Science, Icarus, and IEEE Journal, and his work has been featured in Nature.
Dr. Brophy has presented at numerous scientific conferences, including several times to the Toward a Science of Consciousness conferences. His research in the field of Archaeoastronomy has been featured in several television shows and documentaries. In June of 2019, he was named President of the International Society for Consciousness Studies, a consortium of professional scholars working at the forefront of interdisciplinary approaches to the study of consciousness.
