Self-Respect
Self-respect is knowing you are worthy and treating yourself accordingly. Respecting yourself is the first step toward understanding you deserve love and opportunities like everyone else.
It is loving yourself and treating yourself with care. It is the result of staying true to your values and not being willing to compromise them. The more you engage in behaviors consistent with your beliefs and values the more you will feel fulfilled and confident.
When you have self-respect you do not spend your valuable time comparing yourself and your life to other people.
There is so much negativity in the world today and this makes it very easy to lose self-respect and develop a negative view of yourself. None of us are perfect, we all have characteristics and achievements which we should respect about ourselves. It fosters self-belief and this is essential if you want to make the most of your life.
Self-respect is a feeling of pride and confidence that is earned and achieved over time.
