Morning Report 29 Jul 20: US sharemarkets fell on Tuesday

Investors watched progress by Congress to come up with a coronavirus aid package. Investors also awaited the Federal Reserve decision to be announced on Wednesday. Economic data was mixed. Shares in drugmaker Pfizer was up 3.9% after it raised its full-year forecast on strong demand for cancer drugs and blood thinners. Shares in McDonalds shed 2.5% on some disappointment on its earnings results. The Dow Jones index fell by 205 points or 0.8%. The S&P500 index lost 0.7%. And the Nasdaq index fell by 134 points or 1.0%.
