Hey Carpool Crew! đ Whether you're wondering if you remembered your homework or still thinking about yesterdayâs conversation, Iâm Pastor Justinâand Iâm so glad you're here.
Weâre wrapping up another great episode in our series:
Proverbs for Your School Life â daily wisdom from God's Word to help kids make real-life decisions at school, with friends, and at home.
đ Proverbs 19:20 (CSB)
đ âListen to counsel and receive instruction so that you may be wise later in life.â
đĄ What does this mean?
Solomon reminds us that wisdom is builtânot born.
You donât just wake up wise. You grow into itâand it starts with being teachable and willing to listen.
Even Jesus, as a young boy, grew in wisdom by listening to His parents and learning in the temple. If Jesus listened and learned, we should too!
â In this episode, kids will learn:
Why wisdom starts with listening
How to handle correctionâeven when itâs hard
Why your response to feedback shapes your future
That asking for advice isnât weaknessâitâs the beginning of growth
đ« Real-life example:
Your coach or parent corrects how you do a drill or assignment. Youâve always done it your way.
Do you ignore them? Or do you listen and get better?
đĄ Thatâs Proverbs 19:20 in action.
đ Application for Today:
When someone corrects you, donât tune them out. Lean in and learn.
Ask an adult you trust for advice this week. Even about something small!
Remember: Listening now = wisdom later. It all adds up!
đšâđ©âđ§ Parent Tip:
Ask your kids:
âWhatâs one piece of advice or instruction youâve been given latelyâand how did you respond?â
If this episode encouraged your family, share it with a friend or post about it to help more families discover Carpooling with Jesus.
