Dublin MEP Clare Daly says Ursula von der Leyen’s speech to the European Parliament this morning was meaningless.

The nominated president of the European Commission was making a final pitch to MEPs ahead of a crucial vote.

She needs to secure a majority in the secret ballot this evening.
