Mothers and Mother Church

A homily for the Ascension (Year B) [and Mother’s Day], by Father Kyle Ratuiste: Though Jesus physically departed this world at the Ascension, he left us a means to encounter his life: Holy Mother Church. Reflecting on the blessings we have received from the gift of our mothers can help us more deeply appreciate what it means to be nourished and receive life as members of the Church established by Christ.
