Irene Morrison is celebrating 50 years working for Langstane Pressin Aberdeen. She still uses skills she began her employment with. Hand finished work can achieve a more perfect finish. Irene much enjoys her work. The feeling from her employer is mutual.
A granny, Dot Bremner who is partly sighted and completely deaf has raised £1575 to North East Sensory Services(NESS). The money came from dance sessions she had led since September. NESS have helped Dot by providing equipment and lighting for her house. NESS were very grateful.
A Facebook Page - The Northern Lights Of Old Aberdeen has been set up by Culter Heritage Trust to honour Mary Webb who penned and performed The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen for which The Granite City is well known.
A school girl Megan McIntosh who has battled cancer is recovering well. Her uncle arranged for her to be the Mascot for Cove Rangers FCwhen they played Wick recently. The experience has made a big impact on both Megan and the team. She has been invited back.
