It seems that almost universally the thing that most Christians struggle with the most is having a consistent prayer life. When we do pray, many times we offer up a memorized or "canned" prayer at dinner or at bedtime, our minds wander during a prayer that's gone on too long on Sunday morning. We're always quick to pray when we're in the middle of a crisis or we need (or want) something. Do we realize how crucial to our sanctification a life full of prayer to God is?

It seems almost as universal that we end our prayers with "In Jesus' Name...Amen". But do we stop and think of what we're actually saying? To some it's just what we've always said. To others it's "the magic words" to get what you want, thinking we can manipulate Jesus into giving us what we want by invoking His name.
The plan of God is set. We aren't going to manipulate Jesus or convince God that He should rethink His plan, and invoking Jesus' name should be very carefully used, not flippantly uttered.
