These accounts payable headaches are usually overlooked by the accounting staff but add hours to the workload of the accounts payable staff. That’s why I wanted to call this video, Accounting Alert but was talked out of it. However, these #accountpayable headaches need to be recognized by the #accounting staff and include issues with the purchasing staff and often focus on #invoices.
The last issue is a real doozy and it costs your organization big time, if it happens on your watch. The problems revolve around purchasing and suppliers sometimes playing games with the facts. Sometimes it is procurement and other times it’s the suppliers.
These accounts payable problems revolve around a number of issues including, but not limited to, expense reports, invoices, suppliers, incorrect coding done purposefully, incorrect coding by accident, dealing with purchasing, discrepant invoices, payments, rush payments and accounts payable automation.
There’s a reason accounts payable professionals sometimes talk about training suppliers. It helps avoid some of the headaches discussed in this video.
