2023 was a HUGE year in the artificial intelligence (AI) movement.
It has been a year since ChatGPT was released, it now has approximately 180 million users and has stunned the world in how ‘Knowledge Work’ is produced. Its undeniable fact that AI is now the most transformative force in our lives. The year also witnessed a deluge of new products standing in the wake of large language models. We’ve hit a saturation point on the number of products available to solve every aspect of human creativity.
Fast forward to 2024, not only will the doors open to AI-powered technology for solving high-value enterprise use cases, there will some levelling off on the abundance of one off products. The low-value products targeted for run of the mill problems will largely be consumed by Microsoft and Googles of the world in their larger holistic enterprise offerings. A steady rise of solutions will be offered aimed at mitigating risks and bringing ethical principles of AI to practice. In 2023, many of this resulted in countless articles, theoretical debates, and academia-based research. This shift is largely owing to Biden's AI Executive Order and other emerging AI regulations in the EU and other regions. Further, there will be a steady uptick in advanced augmented AI models changing the future of work.
