RaeAnn Tucker from the Henry and Stark County Health Department says that numbers of new COVID-19 infections are trending downward but we aren't out of the woods yet. Masks are still strongly encouraged, especially in enclosed spaces with large numbers of people, as are other mitigation efforts such as distancing, hand washing and regular cleaning of high touch surfaces. There is a great deal of talk about Booster Shots for COVID-19 and RaeAnn says that for now, if you are fully vaccinated and you don't have pre-existing conditions that compromise the immune system, there is no urgent need for a booster.
