The Mosaic Law refers to “the statutes and ordinances and laws which the LORD established between Himself and the sons of Israel through Moses at Mount Sinai” (Lev. 26:46). The Mosaic Law reflects God’s righteous character; therefore, “the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good” (Rom. 7:12). The Mosaic Law measured Israel’s performance under the Mosaic Covenant and was the basis for blessing or cursing (see Deut. 28).
