Market Close 26 Oct 20: ASX fizzles out to third straight loss

The Aussie market failed to build on early momentum with the ASX 200 sliding throughout afternoon trade to close weaker by 11 points, down for a third consecutive session. There was a big winner in amongst the declines with Coca-Cola Amatil (CCL) surging 16% on a proposed $9.3 billion takeover offer.
