As evidence recently shown in the Amber Heard - Johnny Depp divorce, sometimes charges of physical or sexual abuse are provably false, but it will still leave the life & psyche of the person falsely accused in ruins - while the false accuser pays no legal price for taking a wrecking ball to someone's life.
False accusations also make it harder for those who've truly been victims of abuse to be taken seriously, and the fear by men of being falsely accused...

False accusations also make it harder for those who've truly been victims of abuse to be taken seriously, and the fear by men of being falsely accused has reduced workplace opportunities for women. It's a serious issue, and we treat it as such.
