In this episode of Shaping Your Journey, my special guest John Ramsay discusses how he started out as a self-taught rock drummer for 10 years before formally beginning his studies at the age of 22 with the legendary Alan Dawson. He then went on to play with such greats as Art Blakey, Kenny Barron and others. He later held the position of Chair of the Percussion Department at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
