Mid-Session 7 May 19: Aussie shares lifting ahead of RBA meeting

The Australian sharemarket is rebounding from yesterday’s losses as it awaits the RBA interest rate decision at 2.30pm AEST today. The ASX 200 is lifting 50 points or 0.8% to 6333 with all sectors in positive territory. Materials are leading improvements with iron ore miner Fortescue Metals (FMG) climbing 6%.
