Many traditional martial arts are well known for having extensive lists of rules and etiquette that must be followed in the dojo. We bow before and after class, we are to respect those of higher rank, and we call our instructors sir, ma'am, or sensei. But is this a good or bad thing? Al and Marcus discuss some of their thoughts and experiences on respect and hierarchry in the martial arts.
