Market Close 1 May 18: The ASX 200 remains up by 0.5% today

The Reserve Bank of Australia has decided to leave interest rates unchanged at 1.5% for the 21st consecutive month, resulting in real estate stocks being the most improved sector. ANZ shares are higher by more than 2% after reporting their first half results.
