White Erased from the Rainbow

The Mixed or Multiple ethnic group in England and Wales numbered 1.7 million in the 2021 census, 2.9% of the population.  So, why are almost 100% of TV ads showing mix race couples? Are they trying to construct something that they want but which isn't there?
