We are changing. Years ago, our ability to work together was made possible because we comprehended how to tug on the right threads within a complex system of underlying power dynamics. Harmony, or appearing to get along was a primary driver. And going along to get along was an art form, to which most subscribed, designed to keep the human machine, family, or organization, running.
Now, collaboration is the new nucleus of human design. Communication, agreement making, transparency, and acknowledgement of others’ power – these are the elements that cause us to build and create together. With the recognition that human beings are wanting more fulfillment and are now able to make independent choices to build their lives in a way that provides this, the quality of interaction and direction within our shared vision is more important than ever.
