The damning findings of the long-awaited Chilcot report highlight the need to ensure Shannon airport is not used for stop-overs by US military forces. That’s the conclusion of the Sinn Fein MEP Lynn Boylan. The report, which was published today, concluded that the invasion of Iraq in 2003 was based on “flawed intelligence and assessments” that went unchallenged.
