Today's Prayer Meditation is on Isaiah 32
Father, you are a righteous king! You are my shelter from the wind and my refuge from the storm. You are like streams of water in the desert and the cool shade of a great rock in a parched land.
You have opened my eyes to see the truth, and my ears to hear it. You have cooled my hothead and given me sense and understanding. I do not stumble over my words, but speak out plainly.
The ungodly fools are not my heroes. They are not noble-minded. I have no respect for scoundrels. Fools speak nonsense and make evil plans. They practice ungodliness and spread lies and misunderstanding about you, Father. Leaving true seekers frustrated and confused, hungry for the substance of your truth and thirsty for your springs of living water.
Their smooth tricks are evil. They plot crooked schemes. They look for ways to cheat and hurt the innocent, and to twist a just cause around to support their lies.
I do not listen to them or follow in their footsteps, Father. I make wise plans based on your word. I practice godliness and tells others about your great love and mercy. I feed the hungry, and give the thirsty water to drink.
I plan to do what is generous, and I stand firm in my generosity. I have noble intentions and stand confidently by my honorable words and actions.
I do not lie around in ease. I am not smug or careless. I work diligently and reap a bountiful harvest from my labors.
I do not live a life of ease or complacency. I do not allow my land to become overgrown with thorns and briers. My home is joyful and my town is happy.
You have poured out your Spirit on me, Father. The wilderness of my life came back to life and became a fertile field, and the fertile field yields bountiful crops.
Father, your justice and righteousness rule. And your righteousness yields peace. It brings quietness and confidence forever. I live quietly in safety. My home is filled with peace. I relax, safe and secure.
Even if disaster and destruction are all around me, I know you will greatly bless me. Wherever I plant seed, you make bountiful crops spring up.
So be it.
