29 \\ We need more MEAN parents building STRONG families. Yep, I said it.

One of the biggest aspects of parenting we don't often get encouraged through is how exhausting it is to stick to your values day in and day out, be the rule enforcer through all the push back from the non-adults in our homes, AND maintain consistency. No doubt it'd be easier to just give in and not try as hard. But what if we try to increase our "I-don't-care-if-you-think-I'm-mean" muscle and are a little less nice. Is that what our families need to grow stronger and our kids need to grow into who they're meant to be? I'd argue, YES. And I think you'd agree.
